Theologian Memory Game
My hope is that someday, this section will be filled with writing projects you can purchase to use for your family! But for now, I do have something that I have been working on that I am excited to share with you. I have created a memory game with the theme of theologians for kids! This game is made up of 36 illustrated cards that include artwork and biographical information of different theologians. This game accomplishes three things:
1. Biblical training: I am passionate about kids learning about the Bible. I want them to know that they were made to know and love the God that knows and loves them. As they learn about other theologians, I hope that they can see themselves as theologians as well.
2. Email list: I am still trying to grow my email list as I am pursuing publication. For anyone who is on (or joins!) my email list, they will receive a three-dollar discount for this purchase.
3. Ministry: We are currently partner-supported missionaries and are needing to buy plane tickets that are currently very expensive. The proceeds from these sales will go to help us do that! **** teaching point: I thought carefully about the different theologians to use-there are so many heroes of the faith to choose from. I tried to find a diversity of individuals from different times and places. BUT when talking about church history (or any history for that matter), I tell the students that I teach that there has only ever been one perfect person. Everyone else is flawed. We can learn from these theologians and be grateful for the ways they point us to Jesus, while also acknowledging that each person included in this set has also failed...we can always learn from that too.

This memory game is made up of 36 cards (18 pairs). Each pair contains artwork and information about a well-known theologian. The instruction card comes with additional information for each theologian. The most important card in the set is one marked "you." All children should know that they are created to know and love the God that knows and loves them. As they play and learn about some of these Christian figures, I hope they also grow into the understanding that they are made to be a theologian too.
